Three Expats Face Hard Labor For Adultery And Incestuous Pregnancy
Female and male expatriates were sentenced to three years' imprisonment with hard labor for adultery and incestuous pregnancy by the Criminal Court. Also, the sale of abortion pills resulted in the imprisonment of a third defendant for two years. As a result of his involvement in digging a grave and burying the fetuses of the first and second accused in the courtyard of a building in Farwaniya, the building guard was sentenced to one year in prison. In addition, he has been charged with creating a grave for himself.
Adultery, abortion, and a fetus burial are involved in this case, involving three expatriates. A fellow expat's wife's fetus may have been terminated by the first defendant who allegedly sold abortion pills to her husband.
After obtaining the abortion pills, the second defendant, the husband, gave them to his wife (the third defendant) to induce a miscarriage, even though she was seven months pregnant. After the miscarriage, the couple buried the fetus in the Farwaniya area in a makeshift grave created in the front yard of the building.
A friend of the expatriate wife reported the incident to the police as soon as he discovered it. Subsequently, undercover detectives conducted secret investigations, revealing that the expatriate wife had a common-law relationship with the second accused. Following notification of the Public Prosecution, the grave was excavated after it was determined that she had miscarried.
Using DNA testing, it was determined that the first accused was the biological father of the fetus, indicating that the expatriate wife had deceived her husband. When confronted with the allegations, the wife admitted to miscarrying the child with her husband's help, unaware that the child was not her husband's but rather the result of an affair.
When confronted, the husband admitted his involvement, but was shocked to learn that the fetus was actually his. He revealed that his wife had deceived him into believing that the child was his, maintaining a facade of intense love and loyalty. He admitted to being in a six-year marriage with the second accused but succumbed to manipulation by a friend, leading to an affair and pregnancy.
