The Third Gulf Games Are Officially Launched

His Highness the Amir Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah presided over the formal opening ceremony of the Third Gulf Games on Sunday, with His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah in attendance.

His Highness the Prime Minister welcomed the Gulf delegates to Kuwait, the "Land of Peace and Friendship," in a press statement, wishing the championship success in boosting communication among GCC brothers.

Sheikh Fahad Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Chairperson of the Kuwaiti Olympic Committee, noted during the event that Kuwait has prioritized sports and athletes because of its belief in social and sporting duties.

Sheikh Nasser stated that this affirms the country's future policy to promote the Olympic movement in light of His Highness the Amir and His Highness the Crown Prince's orders.

Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Talal Khaled Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, and a number of other Sheikhs, ministers, and senior officials, as well as Gulf dignitaries, attended the ceremony. - KUNA
