The Services Of 283 Expat Employees Have Been Terminated
According to informed sources within the Ministry of Public Works, 283 non-Kuwaiti employees were terminated from March 2020 through August 17 2023. In this context, the sources revealed that the total number of non-Kuwaiti employees in the ministry is 242 at present.
According to them, the ministry is committed to implementing resolution No. 11/2017 regarding the rules for Kuwaitization of government jobs, stating that several measures were taken to implement Kuwaitization in accordance with the rate determined for each job group until 100 percent Kuwaitization had been achieved in the ministry and its subordinate agencies. According to sources, non-Kuwaiti employees do not hold any supervisory or leadership positions, based on the Cabinet's decision not to appoint non-Kuwaitis.
