The Ministry Of Health Announces The Availability Of A Second Covid-19 Booster
According to ministry regulations, the Ministry of Health (MoH) notified on Sunday the availability of the Coronavirus second booster dosage. This booster, the fourth Covid-19 consecutive vaccination dosage, is critical for particular segments of society, especially those who are at risk of serious problems if infected with the Covid-19 virus, the Ministry noted in a statement today.
They should only have this second booster four months after receiving the first Covid-19 dosage booster, which is the third successive Covid-19 vaccination. The Ministry encouraged all people over the age of 50, as well as those over the age of 12, to receive the second booster, particularly those with a weak immune system, such as cancer patients undergoing chemical treatment, organ transplant patients receiving medications that weaken the immune system, or those receiving high doses of cortisol, which weakens the body's immunity.
It also suggested those aged 12 and above to receive the first Covid-19 booster, in accordance with the most recent scientific and international recommendations, in order to increase protection obtained from the first two Covid-19 vaccine doses. The Ministry also recognized the significance of receiving the first and second Covid-19 vaccination doses for children aged five and up in order to reduce the risk of serious illnesses by the virus, wishing all sectors of society eternal health and safety.
