The Increase In Covid 19 Cases And The Non-compliance With Health Requirements Prompted Us To Rush The Total Ban
The Minister of Health, Dr. Basil Al-Sabah, said in a special statement to Al-Qabas, that the increase in cases and non-compliance with health requirements prompted the government to expedite the total ban to implement it from next Sunday, until the end of this month.
In the same context, a security source told Al-Qabas that changing the ban plan from two to 3 weeks is based on medical reports and in anticipation of the numbers going out of control.
As the ban was scheduled to be limited to two weeks, starting from the last ten to the end of the holiday, but the numbers increased dramatically during the past three days, which led the government to hold an emergency meeting today, to adopt the comprehensive ban plan that extends to three weeks.
The source revealed that the holiday period was a great concern for the government, as it is expected that the Kuwaitis will exchange visits and congratulations, which will inevitably cause the spread of the virus and the epidemic.
A senior government source said, "We have great faith with the Kuwaiti people in defeating this disease ... and gradually getting out of it after the Eid."
