The Governor Called On Citizens To Be Partners In Combating The Phenomenon Of Bachelors Living In Private Houses
Farwaniya Governor Sheikh Faisal Al-Hamoud has affirmed that the governorate will leave no stone unturned in fighting the problem of bachelors residing in private residential areas. He stressed that it is not allowed for bachelors to stay in private houses, disclosing about a comprehensive survey that will be conducted on private houses that are rented out to bachelors in order to eradicate this phenomenon.
In a press statement, Sheikh Faisal Al- Hamoud explained that the presence of bachelors in private residential areas has become a problem that is depriving citizens of sleep because of the social and security repercussions. This matter necessitates bringing together official and societal efforts and taking measures that will help curb the problem from its roots. The governorate has received lots of complaints in this regard, and it informed Ministry of Interior and Kuwait Municipality to take necessary measures.
The governor called on citizens to be partners in combating the phenomenon of bachelors living in private houses. He said, “We are looking for a radical solution to this phenomenon. We are seeing a positive response from concerned authorities”. Sheikh Faisal Al-Hamoud stressed the important role mayors can play in fixing this problem, revealing that he has requested all mayors to conduct a comprehensive survey of all the houses rented out to bachelors to eliminate this problem once and for all.
The governor said he held meetings with officials from Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI) to discuss the proposal of issuing civil IDs to expatriates based on the address of their sponsors, adding that labor cities represent the solution to the problem related to the presence of bachelors in private houses.
