The First Phase Of Electronic Services Is Launched By Customs

13 August 2022 Kuwait

Suleiman Al-Fahad, Director-General of Kuwait Customs, announced Thursday that Kuwait registered cars can now be driven to the Gulf Cooperation Council countries with the integrated regular mechanisms. The first phase of electronic services was launched by the director-general.

An Arabic local daily quoting KUNA reports that Al-Fahd said in a press statement that these services allow car owners to submit their requests electronically through electronic link channels with the Public Authority for Civil Information through the "My Identity" application.

According to him, the newly launched generation of electronic services is characterized by its high efficiency in connecting with state sectors and its ability to verify transactions immediately without requiring multiple visits to the field.

The new mechanism for issuing power of attorney is comprehensive, he explained, because authentication can be done through the use of the "My Identity" application and the Ministry of Interior platform without human intervention. It embodies the digital identity that "Customs" focuses on, along with the methods and means of completing procedures and providing services more efficiently and effectively.

In order to facilitate, govern, and secure digital government transactions, the digital transformation file is at the top of the executive plans for the customs institution, he said, citing the customs' efforts to expand its business and provide digital products and services.
