Teacher And Student Remote Learning Tools Activated By Education Minister
Dr. Adel Al-Manea, Minister of Education, Higher Education, and Scientific Research, decided to activate remote learning tools for teachers, students, and staff via Microsoft's 365 Office Teams. These tools facilitate communication between students and teachers.
According to Al-Manea, this activation is essential for effective communication between teachers and students. Daily assignments, research papers, reports, virtual classes, uploading work papers, enrichment lessons, electronic content, and other available educational resources are included.
In addition, the decision instructs the General Education Sector to regularly update student data in the student record system. It includes inputting the class schedule and distributing students to their respective classes. Furthermore, the decision mandates verifying teacher data. Schools must contact the educational district if teacher data is missing in order to assign teachers to the appropriate center in the teacher's record system under the relevant authority, ensuring their names appear in school records when the data is missing. Additionally, teachers are encouraged to update their information directly in the student record system to ensure that their data is present in Teams.
A strong emphasis is placed on the commitment not to disrupt education for any reason, especially when e-learning is present. In the plan, weekly home activities are assigned one day per week, with the school administration determining the subjects and the nature of the home activities. To ensure the development of the educational process, the school administration will closely monitor this directive.
