Supreme Council Meeting Discusses Health Insurance System And Its Impact On The State Health Sector

First Deputy Prime Minister, Defense Minister and Chairman of the Supreme Council for Planning and Development, Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, chaired on Sunday the council’s seventh meeting of its first term in 2018.

Emerging from the meeting, Minister of Social Affairs, Labor and Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Hind Al-Sabeeh, said the discussed agenda included a proposed memo to refer a government bill on holding public contracts and funding local and international markets.

The discussions also dealt with proposals regarding the health insurance system and its impact on the state health sector. A health ministry’s team presented proposals on reforming the system for medical treatment abroad, minister Al-Sabeeh said. The meeting concluded with discussions about a memo presented by the human and construction development committee on the state fourth structural scheme and extent of its harmony with the State of Kuwait 2035 Vision, she said.
