A meeting was recently held between the Health Insurance Hospitals Company and the Deputy Director General for Organization Affairs in Kuwait Municipality Eng Muhammad Al-Zoubi, with Dhaman Chairman Mutlaq Al-Sanea and CEO Thamer Arab attending.
In addition to allotting land to build clinics for the company, the meeting discussed the role Dhaman will play in supporting the healthcare sector and contributing to improving healthcare indicators, as well as the role of the Municipality in achieving the National Development Plan based on the New Kuwait Vision 2035.
Dhaman is the first healthcare institution in the Middle East to operate through a public-private partnership (PPP). In terms of the number of individuals covered by health insurance, it is the largest in Kuwait. About two million expats (Article 18 visa holders) and their families will now be covered by mandatory health insurance.
