Stormy Winter Alert In Kuwait

Environmental science expert Dr Mubarak Al Ajmi has warned Kuwait could face a stormy winter that may develop into a destructive hurricane in the coming days, according to Kuwaiti daily Al Seyassah.

The expected extreme weather will uproot trees, destroy electricity and telephone networks and tear down houses and constructions, he said.

“Heavy rains that battered the country on Tuesday were indicative of that,” he said, reports our sister paper Akhbar Al Khaleej.
