On Monday And Tuesday, Scattered Showers Are Expected
Renowned weather expert Essa Ramadan has anticipated partially cloudy to cloudy skies over Kuwait in the coming days, signaling the onset of the 'Sarayat' season. Nighttime forecasts for Monday include scattered showers, accompanied by light to moderate southeasterly winds. The probability of rain is expected to rise on Tuesday, with the potential for thunderstorms.
Ramadan elaborated that weather conditions will stabilize by Wednesday, accompanied by a rise in maximum temperatures. Towards the week's end, temperatures could soar close to 40 degrees Celsius due to the influence of 'Sahali' winds, originating from the dry desert in the southwest.
Beach and park enthusiasts are urged to exercise caution during the 'Sarayat' season, as sudden high waves may occur.
'Sarayat' characterizes a weather phenomenon prevalent in Kuwait and the region from mid-April to mid-May. During this period, cumulonimbus clouds, typically forming in the afternoon or after dawn, become more frequent. These clouds develop locally during the transition from spring's end, featuring cold upper atmospheric layers and warm, humid surface layers conducive to the formation of local 'Mazen' clouds.
Driven by warm, moist winds encountering colder counterparts, these clouds swiftly condense, potentially resulting in rain, hail, and strong winds. The lifecycle of these clouds, from formation to dissipation, typically spans between 25 and 45 minutes.
