Spring Camp Reservations Announced By Municipality
Kuwait Municipality has announced the opening of applications for reservations and issuance of spring camp licenses starting tomorrow at 12 p.m.
According to Muhammed Al-Mutairi, the Director of Public Relations at the municipality, all preparations for this year's camping season have been completed by the committee studying and updating the locations of spring camps.
Al-Mutairi added that the committee met with relevant government entities and cooperative associations interested in setting up markets and entertainment areas for camping areas. Two locations, one on Kabd Road and one in Subiya at the end of the Jaber Al-Ahmad Bridge, were allocated by lottery to applicants from multiple cooperative associations. The locations of 14 cooperative associations' markets were also determined through a lottery.
A QR code will be used to issue a temporary permit for camping in areas authorized by the municipality for spring camps, according to Al-Mutairi.
In order to ensure everyone's safety, he emphasized the necessity of following the conditions for setting up spring camps, including compliance with the requirements of the General Fire Department. It is prohibited to harm the natural environment, or wildlife, or compromise its aesthetic value.
Herding within camping areas is prohibited, as well as hunting or killing wild organisms. The disposal, burying, or burning of waste is strictly forbidden, as is the construction of permanent structures out of construction materials.
The municipality specifies an area of 1000 square meters per individual, while companies and institutions are allocated 2000 and 5000 square meters, respectively. The issuance of a permit for each site is for individuals over 21 years old.
Through the municipality's website, applicants must enter the coordinates of the required camp, enter the personal information of the camp owner, and agree to the terms and conditions.
The reservation fee is 50 Kuwaiti dinars paid electronically via (KNET) and is non-refundable, while the deposit of 100 Kuwaiti dinars is refundable after obtaining a sanitation certificate from the municipality with the approval of the Public Authority for the Environment.
