Social Affairs Seeks Assistance To Develop Information Technology Sector
The Ministry of Social Affairs is currently studying the possibility of benefitting from the expertise of one of the investment companies for information systems, to develop its business in the fields of information technology, and to provide advisory services related to upgrading the automation of the services it provides, and to expand the process of automatic linkage, whether internally or with external government agencies.
Al-Jarida quoting sources from ‘Social Affairs’ sources the recommendation from the Central Agency for Information Technology for fiscal 2022/2023 was approved at the request of the Ministry, represented by the Planning and Administrative Development Sector, regarding the use of technology consulting, which would advance the achievement of its objectives aimed at expanding the use of systems mechanism, and digital transformation to achieve the requirements of the current stage.
The sources confirmed that the Computer Department, which is entrusted with the mechanization work and projects of the Ministry, how to implement automated systems and furnish modern programs, seeks to transfer “affairs” from paper-based dealing to automated in all its departments, thus saving the auditors the time and effort expended in completing their transactions.
Sources pointed out that following the successful implementation of the electronic messaging system in sectors and departments, the ministry is working to complete the second phase of automating the services.
