Sewage, Waste Swamp Hassawi
Several bloggers have highlighted the worsening situation in Block Three, Hassawi stating the area is full of sewage swamps and large quantity of waste.
One of the bloggers, Essam Al-Muzen, uploaded a video clip to show unhygienic situation. He said: “This scene is not in India, it is in Kuwait – the country with billions.” He wondered about the absence of Kuwait Municipality employees who receive salaries and are supposed to do their jobs.
Another blogger Munira Al- Musallam lamented, “Tomorrow we will suffer a plague or malaria, while a blogger going by the name Al-Jaber asserted: “We need trustful and hardworking officials. The Municipality is active in tracking individuals selling watermelons but it is not interested in addressing this problem.”
Nashmi Awad added, “Hassawi and Jleeb Al-Shuyoukh consist of thousands of expatriate families and bachelors putting extra pressure on services. These two areas must be removed.” A blogger going by the name Sareeh pointed out this is the responsibility of the Municipality, and ministries Interior, Public Works, Social Affairs and Labor
