Schools Are Directed Not To Increase Student And Parent Financial Burdens

Osama Al-Sattan, Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Education for Public Education, issued ‘instructions’ to the director general of the educational regions and the director of religious education, stressing the need to circulate to all school administrations in the various educational stages and kindergartens the commitment not to assign teachers, students and their parents any external projects that may put financial burdens on them, reports Al-Jarida daily.

According to the instructions, no requests or financial burdens should be put on educational and administrative bodies, students, or their guardians; no work that is not considered one of their duties should be assigned to students or their parents (explicitly or suggestively), and no request for donations or money from them.

The school canteen account, the financial fund account, or the advances of the scientific department shall be used to cover all educational or school expenses in accordance with the rules and regulations in this regard. According to the instructions document, the number (22304303) and barcode must be circulated to all parties concerned with the bulletin (parents, educational institutions, and administrative bodies) through the (Whatsapp) program, and a flag should be attached to them to indicate if any cases are reported. In the case of a violation of the instructions letter or the previous circulars, legal accountability will be applied, as long as it is an important and urgent matter.
