Saudi Arabia Arrests Wanted Kuwaiti Fugitive For Drug Trafficking
A fugitive accused of drug trafficking has been detained in Riyadh, the capital city of Saudi Arabia, according to a statement issued by the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior on Friday. The man was wanted for trafficking 18 kilograms of hashish into Kuwait for trading.
The Kuwaiti General Department for Drug Control and Saudi Arabia’s General Directorate of Narcotics Control coordinated to apprehend the fugitive in Riyadh. Kuwaiti authorities are now in contact with Saudi authorities for the handover of the fugitive to Kuwait, pending legal procedures against him.
The Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior expressed its gratitude to the Saudi authorities for their prompt response and cooperation in all drug-related cases involving the two sisterly countries.
