Restaurants, Cafes Expected To Allow Dining-in After Employees Fully Vaccinated

10 May 2021 Lockdown

Restaurants and cafes are able to provide takeaways and delivery services, but dining in is still not permitted, even for those who have been inoculated with the vaccine. While cinemas and theaters could allow movie goers entry if they have been vaccinated.

A government source explained the decision to Al-Rai that all cinema employees received the vaccine, while the vaccination procedure is not completed for employees of restaurants.

The source said that the Ministry of Health (MoH) will put in place a clear mechanism for vaccinating all workers and employees of restaurants, catering companies, and cafes in preparation to start this facility.

The source stressed that while entry to cinemas and theaters is permitted, there is strict adherence to established health precautions and requirements, the most important being commitment to social distancing and wearing a mask.

MoH urged all restaurant workers who have not yet been vaccinated to take the initiative to make an appointment to vaccinate against Covid-19, to allow for the businesses to fully open safely after the Eid Al-Fitr holidays.
