13 April 2022 Kuwait

Dr. Khaled Al-Saeed, Minister of Health, has decided that residents of the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Health District will get healthcare services at the Jaber.

This backs with what a local Arabic daily reported on April 5 under the headline "Transferring the affiliation of various health districts to Jaber Hospital," referring to regions such as South Surra, West Mishref, Bayan, Al-Masayel, Abu Fatira, Al-Maseela, Al-Funaitees, and Abu Al-Hassaniya.

According to the daily, the Ministry of Health has discussed a number of proposals to develop work in the health sector, including transferring the subordination of some suburbs from Al-Adan Hospital and Mubarak Hospital to Jaber Hospital, as well as utilizing Jaber Hospital's spatial capacity to open surgical specialties such as orthopedics, ophthalmology, organ transplantation, and neurosurgery, as well as the opening of general wards, with the goal of relieving pressure onwards.

The decision's second article said that patients from Mubarak Al-Kabeer Health District's primary healthcare centers – West Mishref, Bayan, Mubarak Western Health Center, and Mubarak Al Sharqia Health Center – will be treated at the Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital's outpatient clinic.
