Plan For Repairing Roads
Ministry of Public Works (MPW) Undersecretary Eng Ismael Failakawi held a meeting with Assistant Undersecretary for Traffic Affairs in the Interior Ministry Major General Jamal Sayegh, Director of Public Authority for Roads and Transportation (PART) Eng Suha Ashkanani, an assistant undersecretary at MPW and Head of License Section in the General Traffic Department (GTD) Eng Mansour Al-Shemmeri at the headquarters of MPW in South Surra, reports Al-Anba daily.
They discussed the plan for repairing roads in residential areas which will be done in coordination with the mayors during morning hours in preparation for the winter season that is characterized by unstable weather conditions.
Al-Shemmeri revealed the road repair process will start in Da’iya, Rawda, Salem Sabah Al-Salem Road, Bin Ziyad Road, from Damascus Street to Jabriya area. He called on the public, especially the motorists, to cooperate with the working bodies in a bid to protect the interest of the nation and its people; affirming that these bodies will carry out the work as per the timetable set by the contractors and companies.
Also, Failakawi promised to water down difficulties which the working team might face in the sites, in coordination with GTD and PART.
