Parts Of Overhead Power Lines Were Stolen
Police are looking for unidentified thieves for stealing parts of overhead power lines that supply electricity to the Patriot Missile Batteries. According to the Ministry of Electricity and Water thieves stole parts of overhead power lines that feed system for the Patriot Missile system and the incident was reported to the concerned authorities immediately to carry out the necessary maintenance.
However, the sources explained the Patriot Missile Batteries are not fed only by the overhead power lines but they mostly depend on power generators. The sources added the Ministry of Electricity and Water has often appealed to the concerned ministries to secure overhead power lines which are continuously exposed to systematic theft. The sources pointed out, the ministry is currently studying the possibility of installing CCTV cameras to monitor the overhead power lines.
