Over 20,000 Students Will Be Investigated For Fraud By The Moe

03 May 2023 Crime News

According to a report in Al-Jarida daily, the Public Prosecution has decided to refer the case of student fraud, in which 13 people are being accused of bribery and selling test papers, to the Criminal Court.

In "WhatsApp" groups that monitored exam leaks for the academic years 2020-2021 and 2021-2022, the Public Prosecution Office is working to list the names of about 20,000 11th and 12th grade students, and the names will be sent to the Ministry of Education for processing.

Once the fraud has been proven, those involved will be required to retake their exams or have their academic year canceled. Moreover, the Prosecution has decided not to involve the students, whose number exceeds 20,000, in the investigation and to simply hand their matter over to the Ministry of Education.
