Over 1.5mn People Use ‘my Identity’

In conjunction with the issuance of Law No. 3 of 2021 to defer loan payments for six months for those who opt to, the Director-General of the Public Authority for Civil Information (PACI), Musaed Al-Asousi, announced more than 40,000 people used the ‘My Identity’ facility within two days to request postponement of the payment.

Al-Asousi said the electronic linking of government agencies with My Identity reaps its fruits of this application because it has proved its effectiveness which proves the Authority’s success in finding a digital alternative to the civil ID that is safe and certified and can be used in all government and private agencies. He added that, after one year of issuing the My Identity application, the number of users has reached more than 1.5 million, as it greatly contributes to facilitate the implementation and use of many services provided by government and private institutions.
