Over 1,500 Mosques For Eid Prayers
Government Communication Center head Tariq Al- Mezrim on Monday declared the approval of performing the Eid al-Fitr prayer provided that it will not exceed 15 minutes. Speaking at a video-conference following the Cabinet meeting, Al-Mezrim said that a number of outdoor prayer places and more than 1,500 mosques would be prepared for the Eid prayer, with abiding by health measures.
He noted that the Cabinet listened to a presentation of Minister of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs Issa Al-Kandari on readiness of the mosques, pointing to coordination between the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs in this regard. He pointed out that Kuwait is planning to return to normal life gradually, calling for abidance by health measures and working together to combat the coronavirus to return to normal life as soon as possible. He expressed thanks and appreciation of the Cabinet to all citizens and expats for adherence to measures during the partial curfew, which will.
