Oil And Mew Has Issued A Decision To Form A Committee To Discuss About Fake Degrees Issue
The Minister of Oil, Minister of Electricity and Water, Khalid Al-Fadhel has issued a decision to form a committee to discuss the issue of employees who have got jobs in the oil sector on the strength of forged certificates which became the talk of the town in the social media, reports Annahar daily.
The case of the fake Greek certificates has taken center stage and the Ministry of Higher Education which is the competent authority in the field of false certificates, plays its full role in investigating and scrutinizing certificates in all the state ministries including oil and electricity,” the minister told reporters after attending a ceremony of the Bangladesh embassy on its national day Meanwhile, the Audit Bureau has denied reports in the social media that some of its employees are holding certificates from the American University of Athens.
In a press statement yesterday, the Audit Bureau affirmed its keenness to take all necessary measures concerning the academic certificates of its employees most importantly the decisions issued by the Supreme Committee for Employment Affairs.
The Bureau explained it does not accept any certificate until after its accreditation by the Ministry of Higher Education in accordance with the decisions issued by the Civil Service Commission and pointed out that no employee holds a certificate issued by that university whatsoever.
MP Adel Al-Damkhi has requested the Minister of Education and Minister of Higher Education, Hamid Al-Azmi to take decisive actions on the subject of forged certificates and not issue just statements. He told the reporters the responsibility also rests with the Council of Ministers which must resolve this issue and move towards reform.
Al-Damkhi said this issue has rocked the Kuwaiti street because it is related to the future of the homeland and the security of the community. The confidence of the people in the doctors, engineers and leaders who have climbed the ladder of success on the strength of the false certifi- cates has been shattered. For his part, MP Ahmad Fadhel threatened to continue to expose the holders of forged certificates during a meeting on April 16.
