No Hayya Card Is Required For Gcc Citizens And Residents To Enter Qatar
On Tuesday, Qatar's Interior Ministry announced that GCC citizens and residents would not have to register for the Hayya card to enter Qatar.
In a statement carried by the Qatar News Agency, the Ministry said Gulf citizens and residents entering Qatar from all border points would not have to register for digital Hayya cards.
According to the ministry, the card along with the ticket must be presented to attend World Cup matches.
According to the ministry, those arriving in Qatar by land and wishing to use public buses to reach their destinations can do so, and parking at border points will be free.
On December eight, GCC citizens and residents will be able to enter the country with their private vehicles; however, they will have to register on the Interior Ministry's website 12 hours prior to their arrival.
As stated in the statement, these measures were taken to allow people in the region to attend World Cup festivities and fan areas, but those attending matches must have the card.
