NEET UG 2024: Kuwait Included As Exam Center
The National Testing Agency (NTA) has announced the inclusion of 14 additional cities, such as Kuwait, in the list of exam centers for the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) UG 2024. Initially omitted from the roster of exam centers, Kuwait has now been added to accommodate aspiring candidates from the region.
Candidates who have already submitted their NEET UG application for 2024 will have the opportunity to modify their exam centers during the application correction period, as stated by the testing agency.
The newly incorporated cities where the NEET UG 2024 exams will be conducted include Kuwait, Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Bangkok, Colombo, Doha, Kathmandu, Kuala Lumpur, Lagos, Manama, Muscat, Riyadh, and Singapore.
NTA has provided insight into the process of center modification in an official notice, mentioning, "Candidates who initially opted for centers within India but now wish to choose a foreign center can do so during the correction window, which opens after the registration window closes."
Foreign candidates can also opt to change their exam centers to cities outside their home country during the NEET UG 2024 application correction phase. However, they will be required to pay the applicable fee difference upon selection, according to NTA.
For fresh candidates from foreign countries registering for NEET UG 2024, the process of selecting exam centers has been simplified, allowing them to choose their preferred city directly from a drop-down menu.
Despite initially excluding foreign exam centers, NTA has expanded the total number of NEET UG 2024 exam centers to 554. The registration process for NEET UG 2024 commenced on February 9, with the medical entrance exam scheduled for May 5, determining admissions to MBBS and BDS programs.
In 2021, NTA introduced Kuwait as the first exam center outside India, providing a significant advantage to Indian students residing in Kuwait.
