National Labor Sector Of Pam Is Preparing To File 1,500 Cases Related To The Fake National Employment
The National Labor Sector of the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM) is preparing to file 1,500 cases related to the fake national employment and punish those who have received illegal dues in the name of support for employment over the past years, reports Al-Jarida daily.
The sources said all those who are found guilty will be referred to the Public Prosecution. The sources added the employment sector is working on a new mechanism to file complaints and recover over 34 million dinars disbursed for undeserving Kuwaitis whose number is said to be over 5,700.
The daily quoting sources said, this step will reduce the support for labor and protect public money, in addition to activating the decisions of the Council of Ministers to freeze the assets of the owners of the violating companies and intensifying penalties, which in some cases reach 10 years’ imprisonment. In another development, official statistics show 828 Bedoun women married to Kuwaiti husbands were granted citizenship during the last two years in 2017 and 2018, reports Al-Qabas daily.
According to the statistics, a copy of which has been obtained by the daily, 425 of them were naturalized in 2017, while 403 were granted the citizenship last year. Well-informed sources told the daily the naturalization was carried out in accordance with Article 8 of the Naturalization Law based on the coordination between the Ministry of Interior and the Central System for Remedying Status of Illegal Residents.
