Municipality To Speed Up The Decision To Reduce Camping Fees
Municipal Council member Ahmed Hadyan Al-Enezi has expressed his total rejection of the Spring Camps Committee’s approval of 300 dinars insurance fee, and has called on the Council to stop ‘cooperating’ with the committee until the fee is reduced to 100 dinars and that the Municipality fee to be set at 50 per camp owner.
Al-Enezi said in a statement to ‘Al-Rai’, the fees will be modified ‘sooner than later’, especially that the Council has finally approved the proposal that has been submitted to reduce insurance fees from 300 to 100 dinars, increase the area from 500 to 1,000 square meters, and that the Municipality fee 50 dinars, in exchange for additional services to be provided to campers. He said the proposal will be submitted to the minister during the session next Monday for approval.
He explained that “the reason for the delay in approving the new amendments was due to the failure of the last session,” and stressed a request will be sent to the executive body in the Municipality to expedite approval of the new fees for the benefit of citizens.
