Motorist Face 10 Charges For Al-soor Street Intersection Accident
According to the Ministry of Interior, the female motorist involved in the traffic accident at the intersection of Al-Soor Street and King Fahd bin Abdulaziz Road on Thursday was detained for 10 days (in pretrial detention pending investigation) and sent to the Central Prison.
As reported by the Ministry of Interior, the suspect is accused of fatally injuring the driver and her escort, as well as crossing a red traffic light, speeding, murder by mistake, injury by mistake, and driving the vehicle with expired insurance documents. The suspect was also allegedly under the influence of intoxicating substances.
The female motorist and her escort were referred to the General Department of Criminal Evidence for sample collection, analysis, and submission to the investigation authority.
The vehicles were also seized for inspection by the Traffic Engineering Department and the technical expert. Those accused of the traffic accident are being investigated, and the necessary investigations are ongoing.
