Moi Reveals That 17,000 Bedoons Paid Kd 3,000 Each As Bribes To Sheikh Mazen To Obtain Passports

In its annual report on human rights in Kuwait, the US State Department revealed that, in July, the Kuwaiti Ministry of Interior disclosed that approximately 17,000 Bedoons paid KD 3,000 dinars each in bribes between 2014 and 2018 to obtain passports under Article 17 and within the framework of security clearance, the Assistant Undersecretary of the Ministry of Interior, Major General Sheikh Mazen Al-Jarrah, was arrested on charges of accepting bribe, Arabic daily Al Rai reported.
