Moh To Provide 2nd Dose Of Astrazeneca Vaccine To 350,000 People In 2 Weeks
The Ministry of Health plans to launch a marathon vaccination campaign to provide a second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine to a large number of people. The comprehensive vaccination plan includes allocating about 31 centers for the Covid-19 vaccination, Al-Rai daily reported.
Informed sources revealed daily that the most prominent features of the Ministry of Health’s plan are to start providing the second dose of the AstraZeneca vaccine this week and completing the vaccination target group in record time. Moh plans to use 29 primary health care centers, exhibition fairground, and drive-through vaccination center on the South Island of Jaber Bridge.
The official working hours of the centers would be in the two shifts, 7 am to 2 pm and 2 pm to 9 am.
The capacity of the vaccination service in each of the primary care centers will reach 200 people in the morning period and during the evening vaccination to reach 600 people in each center.
The primary care centers will be able to vaccinate about 23,400 people per day, in addition to the Kuwait Vaccination Center Drive through service on the South Island of Jaber Bridge, while the Kuwait Vaccination Center at the fairground continues to provide the regular service.
The completion of the vaccination of the target group estimated at 350,000 will be completed within a record time of not more than two weeks, according to the established plan, which awaits the start of implementation with the arrival of Astrazeneca vaccine shipment.
