Moh Sent Legal And Financial Delegation To Kuwait’s Health Office In Frankfurt
Ministry of Health has sent a legal and financial delegation to Kuwait’s Health Office in Frankfurt to check overdue invoices (bills) issued for the treatment received by Kuwaiti patients at hospitals in Germany, reports Al-Anba daily.
This came after the Kuwaiti embassy in Germany requested the formation of a delegation to check the validity of invoices at the Health Office in coordination with the Kuwaiti Consulate in Germany.
It is noteworthy the ministry stopped sending Kuwaiti patients for treatment in Germany due to irregularities detected in the activities of the Kuwaiti Health Office in Frankfurt by State Audit Bureau, indicating the issue is being investigated by the Public Prosecution.
Meanwhile, Ministry of Finance is planning to decrease by almost 80 percent the budgets proposed by ministries and governmental bodies for newspapers and periodicals, reports Al-Qabas daily quoting informed sources.
They revealed that this move comes within the framework of the efforts exerted by Ministry of Finance to rationalize expenditures, adding that the ministry also intends to reduce a number of other items in the budgets proposed by ministries and government bodies for the 2020/2021 fiscal year including remunerations for overtime, committee and team works.
In the meantime, media figure, Secretary General of the Arab Media Forum and Chairperson of Kuwait Society for Media and Communication Media Madhi Al-Khamis said everybody complains about violations on social media platforms and media as a whole, pointing out that the level of media performance is declining.
In a press statement, Al-Khamis asserted the speeches of HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah tackle media and social media issues but there is no solution.
He added the integrated media vision is missing, explaining that such vision should connect the desire to develop with the flexibility of laws in order to serve the State and support its development projects.
Al-Khamis argued the media should not be blamed while it is trapped by tough laws. He also emphasized the need to develop the media and maneuver it towards the right path, as only then the media should be questioned according to the equation of freedom and responsibility
