15 June 2022 Coronavirus

Kuwait's health situation is stable, official said on Wednesday, and the Ministry of Health is monitoring ongoing activities on COVID-19 both regionally and internationally.

The official spokesman of the ministry, Dr. Abdullah Al-Sanad, told the press that the WHO is coordinating activities with regard to the spread of virus.

Globally and in Kuwait including the GCC region, the number of cases is on the rise.

The physician said the current increase should not be viewed as alarming, because there had not been any cases of Covid19 in the ICU.

In order to prevent infections, al-Sanad urged travelers not to spend too much time in closed areas or crowded places.

The risks of infection can be reduced by taking precautionary measures, he said, adding that those suffering from respiratory symptoms should isolate themselves.

To prevent infection, he advised children not to attend summer clubs.
