Moe Affirmed That Housing Allowance Will Not Be Granted To Female Bedoun Teachers

Minister of Education and Higher Education Mohammad Al-Fares affirmed that housing allowance will not be granted to female Bedoun teachers whose husbands are receiving the same from their workplaces in other governmental authorities. He revealed that there are 427 female Bedoun teachers from who the deducted amounts total KD 1,260 monthly and KD 15,120 yearly.

Al-Fares denied reports that the ministry has deducted KD 60 from female Bedoun teachers, insisting that no ministerial decision has been taken in this regard. He added, “In fact, they are being hired on the basis of special contracts”.

The minister revealed that Civil Service Commission (CSC) has approved monthly disbursement of housing allowance worth KD 60 to female Bedoun teachers who have no governmental housing and if their husbands are working for other governmental authorities that do not provide them with housing allowance.
