Moci Has Summoned Officials That 3 Cooperative Societies Had Increased The Prices Of Vegetables And Fruits
Ministry of Commerce and Industry has summoned officials in charge of three cooperative societies for investigations over claims that the three cooperative societies had increased the prices of vegetables and fruits compared to the cooperative societies in other areas.
According to sources, the ministry’s inspectors referred a report to the ministry along with evidences about the violation committed by the three cooperative societies in increasing the price without justification.

They affirmed that the ministry will peruse the report it has received and will take legal actions against any cooperative society that intentionally hiked the prices of its commodities without any legal grounds.
In another development, the Ministry of Finance recently issued a circular to ministries and State authorities, reiterating its call for using electronic stamps in all transactions and to stop using paper stamps before the end of this month, reports Al-Anba daily.
In the circular, the Ministry of Finance pointed out that several ministries and governmental authorities including the ministries of Health, Interior and Justice are not using electronic stamps. The deadline for halting usage of paper stamps will be on Aug 1, 2017.
