Ministry Of Interior Urges Adherence To Gathering And March Laws
The Public Relations and Security Media Department of the Ministry of Interior issues a firm reminder for all individuals to strictly follow the laws governing the organization of gatherings or marches.
Emphasizing the legal framework surrounding such events, the Ministry underscores that conducting gatherings or marches without proper authorization from relevant authorities constitutes a breach of the law, subjecting individuals to legal consequences. Additionally, the dissemination of advertisements promoting unauthorized gatherings or marches on social media platforms is expressly prohibited, as reported by Al-Qabas daily.
The Administration reiterates that no permit has been granted by the Ministry of Interior for the organization of any gatherings or marches advertised on social media. It calls upon all individuals to respect the regulations governing these activities.
Affirming the stance of the Ministry, based on directives from the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, it is reiterated that holding gatherings or marches is strictly prohibited except in strict accordance with established laws and regulations.
The Ministry emphasizes the importance of upholding these regulations to ensure public safety and orderliness in all gatherings and marches conducted within the jurisdiction.
Meanwhile, in response to the Ministry of Interior’s denial of issuing a permit for a solidarity gathering with Gaza at Al-Erada Square, the Ministry took all measures to close the roads leading to the square, effectively preventing access, as reported by Al-Jarida daily.
This action comes amidst objections from political forces regarding the Ministry’s statement, which prohibited the gathering scheduled to denounce Zionist aggression and show solidarity with the Palestinian people.
The Ministry of Interior reiterated its stance by issuing a statement, emphasizing that no permit was granted for the aforementioned gathering advertised on social media platforms. It urged all individuals to adhere strictly to the laws governing the organization of gatherings and marches.
The Ministry clarified that, under the directives of the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Defense, and Acting Minister of Interior, Sheikh Fahd Al-Yousef, holding gatherings or marches is strictly prohibited unless in compliance with established laws and regulations.
It emphasized the importance of obtaining proper authorization from relevant authorities, highlighting that conducting gatherings or marches without such permission constitutes a violation of the law and subjects individuals to legal consequences.
Furthermore, the Ministry reiterated the prohibition against publishing advertisements on social media pages promoting unauthorized gatherings or marches, underscoring the need for compliance with regulations to maintain public safety and orderliness.
