Ministry Of Electricity And Water Collects Kd 68 Million In 11 Months
The Ministry of Electricity and Water (MEW) has amassed revenues estimated at KD 68 million dinars, with a collection rate of 15.7% from the beginning of the budget in April 2020 to February 2021, according to the latest report of the Ministry of Finance in February, Al Anbaa reported.
The report indicated that the ministry’s total expenditures on all items during the same period amounted to KD 1.652 billion, with a spending rate of 65% compared to the total amounts approved for the ministry’s budget, which is estimated at KD 2.543 billion.
The ministry spent KD 298.6 million on compensation for its employees during the same period, with a spending ratio of 63.3% compared to the amounts approved for covering the item, which amount to KD 471.4 million, to cover salaries, bonuses, allowances, and bonuses for employees.
The report indicated that the ministry spent during the same period a total amount of KD 1.245 billion dinars on the item of goods and services, with a spending rate of 82.2% compared to the amounts approved for covering the item, which amount to KD1.515 billion, to spend on the purchase of oil and fuel for operating the electrical power stations and water distillation of the ministry.
The report also indicated that the Ministry spent during the same period on the item of purchasing non-current assets a total amount of KD 107.943 million, with a spending ratio of 19.4% compared to the approved amounts of 555 million dinars for spending on the Ministry’s electrical and water projects.
The report indicated that the debts owed to the ministry among other government agencies amounted to KD 229.339 million dinars, while the debts owed by the ministry during the same period amounted to 58.729 million dinars.
