Mew Collects Kd 160m Dues Until Sept – Kd 320m Collection Eyed
Acting Assistant Undersecretary for Consumer Affairs in the Ministry of Electricity and Water Dr Masha’an Al-Otaibi has announced that the Consumer Affairs Sector collected dues amounting to KD 160 million from the beginning of the current fiscal year until September compared to KD 220 million within the same period last fiscal year, reports Al-Qabas daily.
Speaking to the daily, Al-Otaibi pointed out the breakthrough in the process of collecting dues this year. He revealed the amount which the sector expects to collect by the end of the current fiscal year is KD 320 million – 40 percent higher than last year. He affirmed the sector is currently simplifying procedures to ensure quick processing of transactions and prevent the accumulation of consumers’ debts.
