Many Traffic Citations Issued As Cameras Trap Speeding Motorists, Reckless Drivers
The traffic sector of the General Traffic Department (GTD) continues to pursue violators of the traffic laws using the latest technology – with the help of surveillance cameras installed in vital areas of the country, reports Al- Anba daily.
According to a clip published by the General Traffic Department on the Ministry of Interior website, dozens of traffic citations have been issued for reckless driving, speeding and driving crisscross frequently changing lanes and endangering the lives of other motorists. The clip shows how the cameras documenting the violations following which the Intelligence Unit of the GTD impounds the violating vehicles and tows them to the ministry garage.
