Mangaf Underpass Remains Shut As Repairs In Progress

Public Authority for Roads and Transportation said repairs were underway to fix a crack in asphalt in Mangaf Bridge, brushing aside social media reports the crack would affect the structure of the bridge.

It added teams were at the bridge to repair the crack. Authority’s emergency teams were deployed in different parts of the country to fix whatever needs to be repaired, it said. Kuwait’s meteorological department said clouds were assembling triggering thunderstorm with rainfall expected to be heavy at times.

The combination of clouds and rain will cause floods in some areas specially the ones already soaked with water, meteorologist Dherar Al-Ali said in a statement.
