Licences Of 3 Domestic Labor Offices Suspended, 297 Complaints Referred To The Judiciary

Three licenses of domestic worker labor offices have been suspended since the start of 2021, and 297 complaints have been referred to the judiciary, according to a statistic issued by the Public Authority for Manpower (PAM), Al Anba reported. The total number of domestic workers registered in the Ministry of Interior are 636,525 workers

Since the start of 2021, the Department for Regulating Domestic Workers’ Recruitment has implemented 4 decisions for partial liquidation of the bank guarantee for employing domestic worker in favor of beneficiaries, and has registered 362 complaints, including 70 complaints by domestic workers against employers for taking their passports, and the passports were subsequently returned to them. 19 complaints came from employers against a recruitment agency, and 167 complaints from domestic workers against employers.
