Adan Hospital's consultant for internal and communicable diseases, Dr. Ghanem Al-Hujailan, says the epidemiological situation in the country has stabilized, and the COVID-19 crisis has receded. A press release issued yesterday indicated that the rise in influenza cases at this time of year is not cause for concern or anxiety. Dr. Al-Hujailan said seasonal influenza infection rates rise at the beginning of the winter season every year. He revealed that the epidemiological situation is expected to stabilize in the country and the whole world by the end of 2024, but the epidemiological anxiety is expected to return in early 2025. Al-Hujailan explained that a new epidemic emerges every five years, such as bird flu, swine flu, COVID-19, etc.

Despite repeated warnings from the World Health Organization about the emergence of new strains of the COVID-19 virus and the high infection rates in China and many other countries around the world, Dr. Unlike regular and seasonal influenza, COVID-19 is no longer a threat, according to Al-Hujailan. In other news, the Assistant Undersecretary for Dental Affairs at the Ministry of Health Dr. Ahmed Asad announced the linking of the system of Jaber Al-Ahmad Specialized Dental Center with the automated system of Jaber Al-Ahmad Hospital about radiology services, laboratory, pharmacy, and the entry and exit of patients to the hospital.

Dr. Asad said in a press release yesterday that the process of linking took place through cooperation between the dental and digital health sectors, within the framework of ongoing efforts to automate health services, and in accordance with Dr. Ahmad Al-Awadhi's instructions. In addition to affirming the continued mechanization of health services, he revealed that all centers and dispensaries affiliated with the Mubarak Al-Kabeer Health Zone have been connected to the Jaber Al-Ahmad Specialized Dental Center. It was stated by Dr. Asad that automating health services and linking them digitally facilitates access to health data for patients, knowledge of medical history, designing a treatment plan, controlling medication dispensing, rationalizing laboratory tests, and organizing various patient visits.
