Kuwaiti Private Hospitals Ready To Offer Free Treatment To Gaza

Kuwait's National Hospitals Union head, Dr. Ayman Al-Mutawa, announced the readiness of six private hospitals to receive and treat injured Gaza Strip citizens free of charge.

Al-Mutawa said, in a letter addressed to the Minister of Health, Dr. Ahmed Al-Awadhi, that this initiative comes “in light of the difficult humanitarian conditions that our brothers in the Gaza Strip are going through, and based on the pioneering humanitarian role that the State of Kuwait is playing regionally and internationally in its various governmental and private sectors, in implementation of the directives of the High Commission for Aid and Relief for the Affected Palestinian People in the Gaza Strip, reports Al-Rai daily.

“The readiness of Al-Salam, Alia, Dar Al-Shifa, Wara, Al-Mouwasat, and Taiba hospitals to receive and treat injured Gaza Strip residents free of charge, should the Ministry of Health decide to receive cases for treatment in Kuwait,” he said, noting “this is considered the least duty we can give to our brothers.”

On Sunday, the 13th plane took off from the Kuwaiti relief air bridge to relieve the brothers in Gaza, carrying 40 tons of food and medical supplies to the Egyptian city of Al-Arish.

A Palestinian volunteer team affiliated with the Kuwaiti Red Crescent in Gaza, Ahmed Abu Dayyeh, announced the arrival of the third and fourth batches of aid provided by the Red Crescent Society to the Palestinian Red Crescent Society's stores and warehouses.
