The grand reveal of the Kuwaiti Pavilion's architectural design and exhibition for the 2025 World Expo in Osaka, Japan, took place at a ceremony in Tokyo, showcasing the intricacies of this ambitious project.

Dignitaries from the political, media, social, and business spheres, alongside representatives of Kuwait and partner companies involved in the endeavor, graced the ceremony with their presence.

During his speech at the ceremony, Kuwait Ambassador to Japan, Sami Al-Zamanan, reminisced, “45 years ago, Kuwait stood among the four Arab countries participating in Expo 1970 in Osaka. Since then, significant milestones have marked the bilateral cooperation, partnership, and solidarity between Kuwait and Japan.” He emphasized the efforts to fortify bilateral relations under the guidance of Kuwait's leadership.

Salem Al-Watyan, the Commissioner-General for Kuwait Pavilion at Expo Osaka 2025 and Assistant Under-Secretary of the Ministry of Information for Administrative and Financial Affairs, expressed pride in unveiling Kuwait’s pavilion. He stated, “It will serve as a bridge of friendship and solidarity between Kuwait and Japan, fostering connections worldwide.” He eagerly anticipated welcoming visitors in 2025 to strengthen ties and showcase Kuwait’s commitment to a sustainable future.

The Kuwait Pavilion aims to exhibit the country’s efforts toward a sustainable future and bolster its global presence through a diversified economy focused on national development. Al-Watyan described Kuwait as a "Visionary Lighthouse" illuminating the Gulf region, with a rich cultural heritage and contributions to arts and social work.

The next World Expo in Osaka is scheduled from April 13 to October 13 next year, themed “Designing Future Society for our Lives”.
