Kuwait Names New Highway After The Late Sultan Qaboos

Kuwait City: The Emir of Kuwait, Shaikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, ordered that a new highway, the seventh ring road, be named after the late Omani sultan, Qaboos bin Said Al Said.

After their weekly Monday meetings, the cabinet of ministers issued a statement stating, “based on the supreme order of His Highness the Emir, one of the major roads has been named in memory of the late Sultan Qaboos Bin Said, in appreciation of the important role that he played and the efforts he exerted in supporting the march of the Gulf Cooperation Council and the issues of the Arab and Islamic nations.”
