Kuwait Municipality Affirmed Its Readiness For The Holy Month Of Ramadan
Kuwait Municipality affirmed its readiness for the holy month of Ramadan with field campaigns aimed at ensuring compliance with the health regulations and safety of foodstuffs that are traded in accordance with the municipal rules and regulations.
In a meeting chaired by Director of Public Relations and Media Department Abdulmohsen Aba Al-Khail, he revealed that Kuwait Municipality, represented by its executive and regulatory bodies, will intensify its field campaigns due to the importance of activating supervision especially during the month of Ramadan.
The campaigns will include inspections on cooperative societies, warehouses of foodstuff companies, wholesale markets for foodstuffs, shops that trade Girgian sweets, restaurants in markets and food factories before and during the month of Ramadan. The aim of the inspection campaigns is to ensure safety of the food provided to consumers.
He explained that the food will be examined externally or samples will be taken and sent to the laboratories of the Ministry of Health to ensure they are fit for human consumption.Â
He called on the owners of shops, restaurants, central markets and food processing companies to cooperate with competent control bodies in Kuwait Municipality during the inspection campaigns, stressing that the municipality will not be negligent in applying the law.
