Kuwait May Allow The Return Of Domestic Workers

The Council of Ministers agreed in principle on the return of domestic workers who are stuck outside the country. According to local Arabic media Al-Anbaa, the council of ministers gave the green signal to Corona Emergency Committee, which is headed by the Deputy Prime Minister, Minister of Interior and Minister of State for Council Affairs Ministers Anas Al-Saleh, to prepare a report on the implementation of the return of domestic workers from outside the country.

The Minister of Health Sheikh Dr. Basil Al-Sabah will chair the health committee meeting to review the implementation plan in this regard, the daily added.

The meeting will also discuss whether to allow the return of those with valid residency permits only or will make any arrangement for the sponsors to renew the residency of some domestic workers, which are already expired.

The report also added that the meeting would discuss the plan to bring new domestic workers from countries which are not in the banned list for direct entry to Kuwait.
