12 June 2024 Hajj And Umrah

Since Kuwait International Airport has turned into a beehive to facilitate the departure of pilgrims to the Holy House of Allah in Makkah, the Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) and other agencies operating at the airport raised the highest level of readiness to complete passenger procedures smoothly and on time; considering this coincides with the approaching Eid Al-Adha holiday.

On Wednesday, the airport witnessed the highest number of departures to the Holy Land; as 19 flights left for Jeddah transporting approximately 4,000 pilgrims through three terminals: T1, T4 and T5. A source told the daily that the end of the air bridge for the departure of pilgrims will be on Friday with only two flights. The source confirmed that the airport is fully prepared for the travel season; particularly during the Eid holiday. He said a field plan has been prepared based on the operational intensity of airline companies and the increasing number of passengers. He stated that work teams are available round the clock to complete procedures for the departure and arrival passengers, as well as to address obstacles they may face in order to facilitate their movement and quickly complete their procedures.
