Kuwait Government Adopts Tough Decisions To Contain Covid-19 Spread – Pm
Kuwait government has adopted a set of “tough decisions” to confront spread of coronavirus but they were contributing to wellbeing of people, His Highness the Prime Minister of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah said Sunday.
His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah instructed government to spare no efforts to confront the spread of coronavirus, also known as COVID-19, His Highness the Prime Minister said during a meeting with Ministry of Interior’s leadership. The meeting was attended by Deputy Prime Minister, Interior Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs Anas Al-Saleh, and senior ministry’s officers.
His Highness the Prime Minister said the “tough decisions” were at request of Ministry of Health and in coordination with the World Health Organization (WHO). He said the Ministry of Interior’s personnel were doing a great job to implementing these decisions in order to maintain stability and security nationwide.
“This is a great responsibility, specially that we are dealing with a health crisis while we are keen how to deal with this health situation in a credible and transparent manner,” he said.
His Highness the Prime Minister reassured that Kuwait has enough storage of medicine and food. “We see result of our planning today … We need to deal with this health crisis very carefully …,” he said. The ministry officers then briefed His Highness the Prime Minister about their plans to safeguard safety and security of the public.
